I mean, why are there so many different spells that seem to do the same thing and yet don't seem to do anything at all?Īre mirror image and blur not able to be dispelled with dispel magic? am I supposed to use breach instead? is breach only meant to break a globe of invulnerability? if the enemies cast haste, am I supposed to use remove magic? what is spell thrust for? well, what i mean is that it seems like each spell is really specific and only works against certain effects. Try turning on more descriptions in the feedback log tosee saves. Originally posted by ImOnlyOneMan:I think you are missing the details, dispel magic is a lower level spell, some spell shields block lower level spells, sometimes enemies get a chance to save vs spells. I'm just wondering if I can get a better explanation of what spells each one of these works against and when I'm supposed to use them because I just don't get it. Now, breach, I guess you don't get that spell in bg1 or at least I havent found it yet.is that what you use to remove stoneskin and mirror image? I remember in BG2 like every mage has spell triggers and contingencies to trigger every buff in the game as soon as combat starts, making them godmode invincible for the first 5 rounds allowing them to spam spells and the only counter is to use breach I've tried remove magic which the description says its a dispel magic that only hits the enemies, and nothing happens. I've tried spell thrust on opponents and nothing happens I've tried to use dispel magic to remove bad effects like confusion and charm on my team and nothing happens. I've tried to use dispel magic to dispel enemy buffs and nothing happens. Whenever I try one of them, nothing ever happens.

Okay, I really don't understand these spells.Īpparently they are essential spells, especially in BG2.īut I don't understand what spells these spells dispel.
